Durham women are heading off to Spain for their pre-season tour, which will give us our first glimpses of the side in 2026, and their batting line up certainly needs to start showing signs of progress ahead of the new season.

Two games against The Blaze will be a good test for a Durham side, who were inconsistent in their first season as a professional county.

Often over-reliant on skipper Hollie Armitage and Suzie Bates at the top of the order, now is the time for the rest of the company to come to the fore.

Mady Villiers showed glimpses of her batting prowess in 2025, while Emily Windsor was largely absent throughout the campaign.
