Durham Head Coach Dani Hazell was pleased by her side's performance as they won for the first time this season against Essex.
Just days after a crushing 149-run defeat at the hands of Lancashire, Durham bounced back with a 23-run victory over Essex.
It was a performance spurred on by an excellent batting performance, notching up an imposing total of 311/3, thanks to Tahlia Wilson's career best 152 as well as some excellent supporting knocks from Hollie Armitage (81) and Emma Marlow (53).
On the victory, Hazell said: "We set ourselves up really well. Tahlia and Emma up top gave ourselves a really good platform.
