Durham head coach Ryan Campbell was pleased with his side's performance in their draw with Kent on the opening weekend of the County Championship.

A combination of Storm Dave, Tawanda Muyeye and dropped catches denied Durham a first opening game win since 2015, but the coach is taking plenty of positives from the match.

"It’s easy to be disappointed but it’s hard to win games of cricket in three days," he said.

"We got sent in on a wicket that gave plenty to the bowlers yet we were still the only team that could win the game throughout I thought. It was three outstanding days of cricket by us."
