Let's not beat about the bush with this, the beginning of Will Rhodes' Durham career has been underwhelming.

When he traded Edgbaston for the bright lights of Chester-le-Street last winter, there were high hopes for the former Warwickshire captain, but a miserly run of scores in the County Championship has distorted from the fact that Rhodes is very much a key part of this Durham squad.

His tally of 153 runs in 10 red ball innings hasn't shown his full ability in that format, but there was improvement in the T20 Blast as 288 runs from 11 innings proved key in a successful group stage campaign, however, it felt like we hadn't seen the best of Rhodes until a sunny Tuesday at Roseworth Terrace.

It was Will's world at NE3 on Tuesday 5th August and all spectators were pleased to be a part of it and it could well be a watershed moment in his Durham career.
