The stage was set, a Friday night clash of the North Group titans with the winner claiming an all-important home quarter-final.

Both teams knew the assignment and treated the Chester-le-Street faithful to a clash for the ages, but it'll be remembered for one man's innings.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Alex Lees showed his all-format prowess with an exceptional knock.

A clinic of six hitting and the ability to play the situation helped Lees' innings earn a place in Durham folklore and amongst the joy of progression, one fact has been forgotten, Lees' ton was the first from a Durham player in a home T20.
