If you’re to believe the bookies, Durham are one of two front-runners in Division Two this season with nearly every major player in the market giving a short price for Ryan Campbell’s men.
Unsurprisingly, Lancashire are the other and you’d expect that they’ll likely provide stern competition to Durham, who are aiming to achieve their goal of an instant return to Division One after last season’s horrifying climax.
The Red Rose endured a season of two halves last year, with Dale Benkenstein paying for a poor start to the campaign with his job, but new head coach Steven Croft turned fortunes around with a good end to the red-ball season and led the side to another T20 finals day.
